Rachel Carpenter founded Good Flower Farm in 2014 in Washburn, Wisconsin, on the shore of Lake Superior. She’s an herbalist, farmer and educator, and she formulates every product in the line from scratch.
On their half-acre farm, they grow calendula, comfrey, tulsi, lavender and chamomile using organic and permaculture practices. Everything is made in small batches in their own workshop, from mixing raw ingredients to filling and labeling, and they never use pre-made bases. Nearly every ingredient is certified organic, and their beeswax comes from a family-run bee farm in northern Illinois. Packaging is glass, metal and paper, and their balms and salves come in plastic-free paperboard tubes. They’re Leaping Bunny certified and give 1% of revenue to environmental causes.
We love how nourishing and beautiful their lip balms are!
